Open Water Scuba Instruction

The PADI Open Water Certification course is your first step in discovering and safely enjoying the underwater world. 

This course is designed to train you in the skills and techniques to become a safe and knowledgeable SCUBA diver.  You will be introduced to an amazing new environment and complete the requirements to receive your internationally recognized PADI certification card!

THERE ARE 3 WAYS TO CERTIFICATION

Get started online now and complete your in-water skills and final open-water ocean dives here or be referred to PADI Dive Centre at your vacation destination.
Step 1: Complete ONLINE LECTURE
Learning to dive begins here.  Complete the self-study online lecture from the comfort of your home and your own pace.

Sign up through this link PADI Open Water or sign up in store.

COST: $210 + applicable taxes

Step 2: CONFINED WATER DIVES in pool
Once you've complete the online lecture, the next step will be to book a class date in store so your PADI Instructor can review the lecture and provide you with your dive equipment before heading to the pool.

Approximately 2 - 3 confined water sessions will be conducted prior to advancing to the open ocean.

Cost: $420 + applicable taxes

Cost includes all dive rental equipment, but not mask and snorkel..*

EXTRA POOL DIVES AT AN ADDITIONAL COST

*as a student of Dive & Sea Sports we will offer you up to a $50.00 credit towards the purchase of your personal equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, boots & gloves) Approximate cost $200 - $500.
Step 3: OCEAN DIVES (COLD WATER OR WARM WATER)
Upon successfully completing the CONFINED WATER DIVES you will be referred to OCEAN DIVES here, or a tropical course on your vacation.

Use your new skills in 4 required ocean dives with an instructor in a small class setting to complete certification.

Cost: $ 600 + applicable taxes

Students are responsible for:
  • Signed PADI Medical Statement
  • Mask & Snorkel*
  • Bathing Suit & Towel
  • Ability to swim 200 metre
  • Passport Photo for certification card
